If you need to pause or cancel your HeyGen subscription, it’s a quick and easy process. Just follow these steps:
Steps to Cancel or Pause Your Subscription
Access Your Account: Click on your name in the top-left corner of the home screen to open your account settings.
Navigate to Subscriptions: Find the "Subscriptions" option in the menu and click on it.
Locate the Membership Section: In the Membership section, look to the far right and find the downarrow next to the "Upgrade" button.
Unsubscribe or Pause Your Plan: Click on the arrow, then select the "Cancel Plan" button to complete the unsubscribe process or "Pause Plan" to temporarily pause your payments.
🛎️ Note: Pausing your plan does not cancel it entirely—it simply postpones the next charge by 30 days from your last billing cycle date [it does not pause indefinitely]. For example, if your billing date is January 1st and you pause your plan before that date, you won’t be charged in January, but your billing will resume on February 1st.
If you'd like to 'Pause Indefinitely', we recommend canceling your account. All of your amazing content will still be accessible when you're ready to sign back up!

If you think you canceled your plan and your account is showing up as FREE, but you are still receiving payment reminders or charges, please reach out to [email protected]. It is likely that you paused your account instead of canceling it. We would be happy to get that sorted for you!
If I cancel my account, will I lose my videos / avatars?
If you cancel or pause your account, you will not lose any of your content! You will be switched to a Free tier plan and can keep all of your previous videos under Projects. Your avatar slot allocation will go down from 3 to 1 so you will only have 1 avatar available. The other two avatars will not be deleted, just unavailable to use until you will switch back to a paid plan.
