Welcome to HeyGen Mobile 101! With HeyGen for mobile, you have the power to create and share dynamic videos right at your fingertips. While the desktop version of HeyGen provides the most comprehensive product experience, our mobile app is designed for convenience and creativity on the go.

New May 2026 Credit-based plans.

Whichever plans you're seeing on your mobile device, our team cannot currently change that to the other kind of plans. Both plans should support a great video creation experience on HeyGen, but you can always purchase via our web platform- which should be credit-based plans in all regions.

While the Mobile app and the Desktop app function similarly, there are some key differences:

Expanded Accents and Voices: Desktop offers a broader range of accents and voices for avatars.

AI Studio Advanced Features: To add graphics, translate text, adjust voice emotions, or make other dynamic edits to your videos, log in to your account on desktop

No Workspace Switching: The mobile app does not currently support switching between workspaces for Team and Enterprise users.

Other Features: Other new and developing features, such as LiveAvatars, are only accessible via desktop.

How mobile plans work: The first subscription offered in the mobile app is the Creator plan, available weekly, monthly, or annually. Pro plans and one-time credit top-ups are only offered once you run out of credits on your Creator plan — they are not the starting point. For individuals learning and exploring HeyGen. The Free plan does not use credits — Free users have a free video quota instead:

Creator is the primary plan for most mobile users. It comes in three billing options. Weekly is a mobile-only option; monthly and annual pricing is exactly the same as web.

Why monthly beats weekly: Four weeks on the weekly plan costs about $40 for 600 credits. The monthly plan gives you the same 600 credits for just $29 — roughly 28% cheaper, with a meaningfully better cost per credit. If you plan to keep creating beyond a week or two, monthly is the better deal (and annual is cheaper still at $24/month, matching web pricing exactly).

Once you use up your Creator credits, the app presents two ways to keep creating:

Pro becomes available as an in-app upgrade once you've run out of Creator credits. It's offered on a monthly or annual basis and provides the lowest cost per credit on mobile.

Fine print: If you run out of Pro credits, you can upgrade to a higher Pro tier at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately — you're charged the price difference and receive the additional credits right away.

Credits are the main usage system on credit-based paid plans. Some features charge per minute of output video, while others charge a fixed amount per generation:

Business ($149/month for the first seat with 1,500 shared credits, +$20 per additional seat) and Enterprise (custom pricing) plans are available on the HeyGen website using the same login details. Business users can buy extra credits at $0.05/credit in 100-credit blocks ($5 minimum, with optional auto-reload). Additional Video Avatar slots are $29/month or $300/year, purchased on web.
