HeyGen's Preferences & Personalization Settings

This article explains the preferences and personalization settings for the HeyGen Web app.

You can customize your HeyGen experience from your account settings. This includes changing how the platform looks, choosing your display language, setting your main use cases, and adding personalization details to help HeyGen better support your content creation.

How to access your settings

From the HeyGen home screen:

  1. Go to the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click your profile photo or the circle with your first initial.

  3. Select Settings from the menu.

From there, you’ll see two main areas covered in this article: Preferences and Personalization.


Preferences

The Preferences section lets you control your personal HeyGen experience. These settings apply only to your own user account.

Appearance

You can choose how HeyGen looks while you work.

Available options include:
- Light — Uses a bright interface.
- Dark — Uses a darker interface that may be easier on the eyes in low-light environments.
- Auto — Matches your device or browser appearance settings automatically.

Language

You can change the language used across the HeyGen web app for your own account. This will not affect other members in your workspace.

Use cases

You can also select your use cases in Preferences. This helps HeyGen better understand how you plan to use the platform and personalize your experience around your goals.


Personalization

The Personalization section helps HeyGen tailor your experience based on your preferences, content, and brand information.

Available tabs include:

  • Memory

  • Brand System

  • Brand Glossary

Memory

Memory lets you save helpful information that HeyGen can remember and use later.


Name

Optional title for the memory.

Example: “Brand voice”

Use when

Optional note describing when the memory should be used.

Example: “Creating marketing videos”

You can also delete saved memories by clicking the trash icon next to the memory item.

HeyGen may also suggest memories for you. You can choose to accept or reject these AI-generated suggestions.

Brand System

Brand System helps you define your brand identity so HeyGen can create content that better matches your brand.
