Welcome to the HeyGen Ambassador Program. This FAQ covers the most common questions about the program, including responsibilities, events, access, perks, and support.

Getting started

What are my responsibilities as a HeyGen Ambassador?

As a HeyGen Ambassador, you help represent HeyGen through community events, content creation, or online engagement. We encourage you to use HeyGen in your work, share what you create, attend key program calls, and contribute positively to the community.

How long does the Ambassador program last?

The program runs for one year, with the option to renew annually at the end of the calendar year based on your engagement and goals.

How much time do I need to commit each month?

There is no fixed monthly time requirement. You can choose how involved you want to be based on your schedule and the activities you want to participate in.

Event planning

I’m having trouble planning an event. What should I do?

If you need help planning an event, start with the Event in a Box guide for templates and ideas. You can also reach out to the Community team at [email protected] for support.

What types of events are eligible for support?

We support a range of community-led events, including workshops, meetups, and other creative formats. If you are unsure whether your event qualifies, contact the Community team before submitting your proposal.

Please note that the Community Fund is intended to support individual Ambassadors in the program. It is not available for company-to-company sponsorships or partnerships.

What does the Community Fund cover?

The Community Fund helps reimburse eligible event-related expenses, including:

  • Venue rental

  • Equipment

  • Printed materials

  • Food and beverages

  • Other approved event costs

The fund does not cover:

  • Prizes or giveaways

  • Travel or lodging

  • Sponsorships

  • Alcohol

  • Marketing or promotional activities

  • Speaker endorsements

  • Professional photographers

  • Expenses that do not align with HeyGen’s brand values

The Community Fund is reimbursement-based, not a flat grant. To receive reimbursement, you must submit itemized receipts and proof of payment. HeyGen reserves the right to approve or deny reimbursements at its sole discretion.

How far in advance should I submit an event proposal?

Please submit your proposal as early as possible. At minimum, event proposals and budget requests should be submitted at least four weeks before the event date. In-person events may require additional lead time.

Product access and support

What HeyGen features do Ambassadors have access to?

Ambassadors receive a set of program benefits that may include:

  • A HeyGen community badge

  • Community leadership experience

  • Access to grants for approved events

  • Generative credits for creative projects

  • Access to a private Ambassador community

  • Opportunities to be featured in HeyGen content

  • Invitations to select HeyGen events

  • Opportunities to share product feedback directly with the HeyGen team

Do I get a free or discounted HeyGen subscription?

Ambassadors receive 5,000 Generative Credits in their HeyGen account. These credits can only be activated on paid plans, including Creator, Teams, or Enterprise.

If you are currently on a Free plan, we can offer a complimentary 6-month Creator plan trial so you can activate your credits. After the 6-month period ends, you will need to move to a paid plan to continue using paid-plan features. We do not offer complimentary Business or Enterprise plans.

Recognition and perks

Are there opportunities to be featured by HeyGen?

Yes. Ambassadors may be featured in blog posts, case studies, newsletters, social posts, and other community spotlights. If you are interested in being featured, contact the Community team. We may also reach out to you directly if there is a good fit.

If you host an event, it may also be featured on HeyGen’s global community event calendar.

What perks do HeyGen Ambassadors receive?

Ambassadors may receive:

  • 5,000 Generative Credits

  • A complimentary 6-month Creator plan trial if they are currently on a Free plan

  • Community recognition and visibility opportunities

  • Access to private community spaces

  • Opportunities to collaborate with the HeyGen team

General questions

I want to get more involved. What can I do?

You can increase your involvement by hosting more events, creating more content, participating more actively in the community, or mentoring other Ambassadors. If you are interested in doing more, contact the Community team.

Who do I contact with feedback or suggestions?

Send feedback, ideas, or suggestions to [email protected]. We welcome input from Ambassadors and use it to improve the program.
