Automated Video Series lets you generate videos automatically on a schedule.
You can set a topic, pick an avatar, and choose how often videos should be created. Once published, the workflow runs on its own.

Who This Is Useful For

Automated Video Series is helpful for anyone who needs to produce recurring content without creating each video manually.
Common use cases include:

  • Marketing teams who release weekly updates, announcements, or product recaps

  • Educators and coaches who deliver scheduled lessons, summaries, or study guides

  • Business teams who want automated company updates, analytics recaps, or stakeholder briefings

  • Creators and influencers who publish regular themed content like news digests or trend reports

  • Sales and GTM teams who send consistent training updates or performance summaries

If your workflow involves repeated video creation, this tool saves time and ensures consistency.

You can access the tool by going to:
Apps → Automated Video Series

How to Create an Automated Video Series

1. Add a Shortcut Name

Enter a name for your automation.
Examples: Company Updates, Daily News Digest, Weekly Recap.

2. Write a Prompt

The prompt for Automated Video Series tells the system what type of video to create.

You can:

  • Type your own instructions, or

  • Click one of the suggested prompts shown under the input box (e.g., Weekly News Digest, Finance Recaps).

If you choose a suggested template, it will auto-fill with editable text.

Example prompt:
“Summarize daily (stock, crypto, or specific financial sector) news.”
You can click the red-highlighted text to replace it with your own topic.

To see more templates, click More suggestions → and choose from categories such as:

  • Knowledge Consumers

  • Engineers / Builders

  • Knowledge Workers / Teams

  • Educators / Influencers / Coaches

  • Marketers & Creators

  • Sales & GTM

You can:

  • Choose one of your own avatars

  • Use any public avatar from the HeyGen library

4. Set a Schedule

You can define when the system should generate videos.

You can schedule:

  • Every (x) days (e.g., every 3 days)

  • Every week or every 2 weeks

  • Specific days of the week

  • A specific release time

Examples:

  • “Generate every 2 weeks on Monday at 8:30 AM”

  • “Generate a new video every 3 days at 6:00 PM”

5. Save or Publish the Automation

You can choose to :
