HeyGen’s AI Studio is the most powerful tool available on our mobile app. It lets you create fully polished videos—from idea to share-ready—all within the app.

This is the entry point to AI Studio, where you can describe the video you want to create and let the Studio generate a script based on your idea.

If you already know what you want to say, tap Enter a script to type it in. Prefer to use your own audio? Tap Use Audio to record live or upload an existing file.

Choose from our public Avatar collection or create your own. You’ll find a variety of public styles to fit your brand—professional, lifestyle, UGC-style, AI-generated, and community-created options are all available.

Scenes function like slides in your video, allowing you to include different media, text elements, avatars, and more so you can cover everything your video needs to share.

Simply tap the + symbol to add another scene to your video.

To change a scene’s position in your video, just tap and drag it to your desired spot on the timeline.

...OR head into the Script Editor and drag the cluster of white dots to reorder scenes there.

To duplicate a scene, tap the scene you want to copy and select Duplicate from the purple menu—this creates a new scene with all the same elements intact.

To add a transition in-between scenes, simply tap the white button in the timeline and choose the type of transition you’d like to add. You can customize type, duration, and direction of the scene transitions within the menu.

Enter any script you’d like your avatar to speak—using any language. This is also where you’ll customize your avatar’s voice, including the accent, tone, model, speed, and more.

If you’d rather use custom audio to capture your voice more clearly, simply record directly or upload an existing file. When recording, you have two choices:

Freestyle: Lets you speak off‑the‑cuff without prompts.

Teleprompter: Lets you type out a script and read from a teleprompter before you hit record.

Once your audio is captured, you can either use your own voice for the avatar or enable Voice Mirroring to have the avatar voice match the cadence and style of your recording.

The Background option lets you choose what appears behind the avatar in your video. You can set a different background for each scene.

Tap on Background, then select Choose asset to pick from our color backgrounds, stock media, or upload any photo or video from your camera roll.

Tap on your avatar, then select Framing to switch to a green screen or circular layout so your background is visible.

Tap Text to include text elements directly in your video. You can fully customize the text’s font, color, position, and animation by tapping on the element to match your style and message.

Tap Media to add in photos or videos that will create a picture-in-picture effect of your avatar. Once added tap on any media items to adjust size, opacity, drag to position, etc.

Most elements—text, avatars, and media—can be further customized after you add them to your video. To explore animation options, tap any element in the video viewer and select Animations, then set exactly when it should play in sync with the video’s speech and choose whether the animation appears at the start of the scene (on entry) or at the end (on exit).

Make your videos more dynamic and accessible by adding captions. Simply click the Captions button to choose from multiple caption styles to match the look and feel of your content. Once added, drag captions element to desired position.

Tap on Watermark to remove the HeyGen logo from your video. Once removed, your video will be clean and ready for professional use or sharing anywhere you like.

Tap Music to choose from a library of over 100 songs to add more life to your videos.

How do I make images fit the canvas?

To make an image fit the whole canvas, add the image as a ‘background.’ Keep in mind, if your avatar is blocking the media when you add as a background, simply tap on the avatar on the screen and adjust the avatar layout.

Can I zoom in canvas?

To get a larger view of what you’re creating in studio, simply tap and drag down on the grey bar above the avatar voice selector (located above script).

Do I have the ability to search stock photos?

Currently AI Studio on mobile does not support directly searching our stock media (e.g searching ‘flowers’). This is possible with a desktop-compatible subscription.
