Live Avatar Overview
HeyGen’s Live Avatar API is a technology that allows you to initiate ‘streaming’ video sessions in which a HeyGen Avatar interacts and can say text on command in real-time, with minimal delay between a user action and its response.
The most common use case for HeyGen’s Live Avatars is connecting them to a Large Language Model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, through code integration. For example, you can initiate a Live Avatar video session and send it text from ChatGPT for the Avatar to speak. In this setup, the Live Avatar serves as the "body" of the LLM, while ChatGPT functions as the "brain" that powers the interaction.
