Templates in HeyGen help you create professional videos faster by giving you a ready-made structure you can easily customize. Whether you’re new to HeyGen or an experienced creator, templates reduce setup time while keeping your videos consistent and on-brand.

How to Access the Template Library
Log in to your HeyGen account.
Click the Templates tab in the main navigation.
Browse all templates or filter by use case to find one that fits your project.
How to Edit a Template
Select a template from the library.
Click Create with AI Studio.
You’ll be taken into the editor, where you can:
Change the avatar
Update the background
Insert or edit your script
Add or modify music and other elements
How to Change Your Background and Avatar
Click directly on the background or avatar in the editor.
Choose a replacement from your HeyGen Library or uploaded assets.
You can switch backgrounds, adjust colors, and select from a wide range of avatars.
How to Edit the Script
Click into any script portion or frame to edit the script manually.
To rewrite with AI assistance:
In the top-right corner of the editor, click the ✨ AI Tools icon.
Select Script Writer from the menu.
Describe your idea to instantly generate a script.
Review the generated text and make any adjustments as needed.
How to Change or Add Music
Some templates include music by default—you can keep, replace, or remove it.
To delete music:
Select the music track in the timeline.
Click the three dots (⋯).
Choose Delete audio.
To add new music:
In the right-hand corner, click the 🎵 Music icon.
Choose a track from the Library, where music is organized by mood:
Happy
Instrumental
Playful
Calm
Dramatic
Inspiring
Alternatively, select audio from My Music or upload your own track using the Upload button in the top right.
How to Review and Submit Your Video
Review your video to ensure accuracy, timing, and brand consistency.
Click Generate.
Set your video details, including the title, destination folder, frame rate (FPS), output resolution, format, and whether to include a HeyGen watermark.
Click Submit to start rendering.
Wait for the confirmation notification or email once rendering is complete.
Note: Rendering time may vary depending on the video length and file size.
