Let's Get Started! Creating a Personalized Video Template
Now we’re ready to dive into creating your personalized videos! This is a multi-step process that takes some time to set up, but once it’s in place, sending videos to your contacts and leads will be effortless—saving you the hassle of manually creating content.

Step 1: Log In and Create a Template
Log in to your HeyGen account, navigate to the Templates tab, and select Create Template.
Step 2: Build Your Template
Start by selecting an avatar for your template. Next, write your script and add on-screen text, incorporating variables using the {{variable_name}} format to personalize content. The {{variable_name}} format will indicate the fields you want replaced with contact-specific information [which will be pulled from your Google Sheet or CRM later]. Incorporate these variables in both the script section and the video template itself, if you'd like text on-screen.
Example Script:
"Hey, {{first_name}}. It's Emily from HeyGen! I saw you were working for {{company_name}} and was wondering if you'd be interested in discussing a partnership?"
Once your template is crafted, name it and save your changes!
💡 Pro Tip: Organize your personalized videos by creating a dedicated folder for each campaign. It’s optional, but it’ll keep everything neat and easy to manage!
