Media—formerly referred to as assets—includes any images, videos, or audio you upload and use within your project in AI Studio. In HeyGen, media serve as the core building blocks of your video, allowing you to customize and enhance your content with your own unique materials.

To upload images and videos in HeyGen, navigate to the AI Studio and select Media on the right side panel. Under the 'Uploads' tab, you can either drag and drop your files directly or click the Upload button. Choose your desired file and it will upload in seconds.

To add audio files or music, go to Music from the right side panel and select My Music. From here, you can either drag and drop your audio files or use the Upload button to browse and select them.

When using an image in your project, you can add it to your work board and customize it by resizing, adjusting opacity, cropping, or even setting it as the background.

If you are using a video media, you can choose whether or not to include the video's original audio, which is muted by default. You can also toggle video material modes such as 'Loop,' 'Fill the Scene,' and 'Freeze at the End.' Use the video as your background for a more dynamic project.

To use an audio media, locate it in the Music Panel within the AI Studio or upload it directly there. Once uploaded, click on the media, and it will appear on your work board. From there, you can adjust the audio to fit the length of your scene, control the volume, and add effects like easing in or out to enhance your project.

As you accumulate, you may feel overwhelmed by the task of organizing them.

You can delete the media from your library by hovering over the media and clicking on the trash button.
