HeyGen plans purchased before August 1, 2024 use a credit system. Users needed to spend credits each time they generated a video (e.g, creating a 5-minute Avatar Video costed 5 credits). And the number of credits users had depended on their subscription plan.

Feedback from the community showed that the credit system was confusing and stifled creativity. Today, we’re excited to announce new Creator and Team plans that allow users like yourself to create and edit as many videos as needed!

If you wish to remain on your old, credit-based Creator and Team plans, no action is needed! We will continue to support these plans.

But for those who want to switch to the new plans, please continue reading.

Below is a comparison of the key changes between legacy and new Creator and Team plans. If you're on a legacy plan and are interested in switching, please review the following table carefully. You will not be able to revert back to a legacy plan after switching.

You can switch from the old Creator or Team plan to a new plan on the same tier with unlimited video generation on your own. Just click the 'Pricing' button in the left navigation bar of the HeyGen web app. This will take you to a new page where you can start the migration process.

You can switch to a new plan that matches your current plan tier and billing cycle (for example, if you’re on an older Creator plan with monthly billing, you can switch to the new Creator plan with monthly billing). Once the initial migration is complete, you’ll have the option to change to other tiers or billing cycles if needed.
