Here’s a walkthrough of some essential features to help you customize your video and create stunning results.

First: Why Can’t I Preview My Avatar Video?

Creating your avatar on video requires significant computing power. As a result, the avatar is only rendered after you submit the video for creation (this is what credits are used for). However, you can preview everything else—backgrounds, images, voices, music—on the Studio platform to perfect your final result.

How to Add Transition Effects

Click on the three dots on your avatar video track to add Transition Effects, which help your videos flow more smoothly between scenes and different directions.

How to Use More Than One Avatar (+2 Avatars) in Your Video

Only one avatar can exist in a single scene. To use multiple avatars, add them to separate scenes.

Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Click the + button on your timeline to add a new scene.

  2. Select an avatar from the left menu of available avatars.

  3. Click on the + button on your timeline to add a new scene again.

  4. Select the next avatar you'd like to use from the left menu of available avatars.

Quick Tip: Use the "Add Avatar" button on the timeline to quickly add the last avatar you used.

Customizing Your Audio

Using Heygen AI Studio, you have three main options to add audio to your video.

  1. Write a script in any language and choose different voices to narrate it as your avatar. This feature is rich with options so we've made a separate article here.

  2. Record/Upload your own audio to be narrated by the avatar. This can be achieved in two places in our studio, both on the timeline and under Scripts.

3. To add background music, navigate to the Elements section at the bottom of the menu. Browse through the available styles, preview them by clicking the Play button, and click the title to add your chosen music to your script. Right-click or click the three dots on the music track in your timeline to access options for customizing your music.

Ease In/Ease Out: Fade music naturally into the video.

Volume: Adjust background music volume relative to other audio (e.g., avatar voice).

Delete: Remove the music track from your timeline.
