Mirror Voice lets your avatar deliver your script using the pacing, emotion, and speaking style from your own voice recording. Instead of relying only on text-to-speech, you can record or upload audio, and your avatar will mirror your vocal delivery while speaking with its assigned voice.
This feature is ideal when you want your videos to sound more natural, expressive, and true to your intended performance.

To use Mirror Voice in a new scene:
Click the 3-dot (•••) menu below the script in your scene.
Select Mirror Voice.
Choose one of the following options:
Record Audio – Read your existing script using the built-in teleprompter. Speak naturally, using the pacing, pauses, and emotion you want your avatar to replicate.
Upload Audio – Upload a pre-recorded audio file that matches your script.
Once your recording or upload is complete, HeyGen will automatically transcribe the audio and use it to generate your avatar's performance.
Convert an Audio Script to a Text Script
If you need to edit the content of an audio script, you'll first need to convert it into a text script.
To convert an audio script to a text script:
Click the X button on the audio script.
The scene will automatically switch from an Audio Script to a Text Script.
Note: Audio scripts cannot be edited directly. Converting an audio script to a text script removes the original audio recording from the scene.

Does HeyGen create a transcript automatically?
