Improve Your Voice: Get the Best and Most Consistent Results
Step 1 — Clone or Select Your Voice
Start by either:
Cloning a new voice using a high-quality recording, or
Selecting one of your existing cloned voices.
For the best results, start with a clean recording with minimal background noise. Speak naturally and make sure the sample accurately represents the accent, tone, pacing, and speaking style you want your AI voice to reproduce.
A strong original sample gives the different voice engines better material to work with.
Step 2 — Open Improve Voice
There are two ways to access Improve Voice.
Option A: Professional Re-recording or Upload a recording
This is the best way to inject true personality into the AI. When you choose to record again, keep these three golden rules in mind:
Be Authentic: Use words and phrases that showcase your unique accent or regional dialect.
Stay Natural: Speak as you would in an everyday conversation. Avoid a "reading" voice; aim for a "speaking" voice.
The 30-Second Rule: You must record at least 30 seconds of audio. This gives the AI enough data to map your tone, emotion, and pronunciation accurately.
💡 Pro Tip — Fix a monotone clone with a Custom Emotion sample: If your voice clone sounds flat or monotone even after re-recording, try this: record a short audio sample of yourself speaking with a lot of energy and enthusiasm — really lean into the expressiveness. Add it to your voice as a Custom Emotion. This gives the AI a high-energy reference point and can significantly improve the range and naturalness of your voice clone's output.
Option B : Try Different Voice Engines with the Improve Voice Flow
From your Voice Library
Find the cloned voice you want to improve, click the three-dot menu (•••) next to the voice, and select Improve Voice.
From AI Studio
Open your project in AI Studio, then:
Open the Voice tab.
Select the voice you are currently using.
Click Improve Voice.
This will open the Improve Voice experience, where you can test and refine the voice before saving your preferred configuration.
Step 3 — Test and select your Voice Engine
You can now test different supported voice engines and choose the one that sounds best for your voice and language.
Different engines can produce different results, so we recommend testing them before deciding which one to use.
Step 4 — Fine-tune your voice
You can now test the different supported voice engines available for your voice.
Each engine can interpret the same cloned voice differently. Depending on your language, accent, speaking style, and content, one engine may sound significantly more natural than another.
Use these controls to find the right balance between maintaining the characteristics of your original voice and achieving the delivery you want.
We recommend:
Using the same test sentence when comparing engines.
Testing a sentence that reflects the type of content you normally create.
Listening for pronunciation, pacing, emotion, accent, and overall similarity to your real voice.
Selecting the engine that produces the most natural and consistent result.
Not every engine supports every language or voice in the same way, so testing the available options is an important part of finding the best configuration.
Step 5 — Save your preferred configuration
Once you find the engine and settings that work best, save your changes. Your voice will then use this configuration for future generations, helping you maintain a more consistent voice experience.
Key recommendation: Start with a great sample → Improve Voice → test engines → fine-tune settings → save the configuration you like.To begin improving your voice, navigate to your AI Studio, and choose the voice you want to work on from your Avatar tab.
