To comply with AI safety protocols, for every video-based Digital Twin created, users must record a short live consent video before creating their avatar. This ensures that the avatar is created only with your knowledge and permission.

Submitting Your Consent Video

After uploading your Avatar Footage, you’ll be required to submit a short live consent video confirming your agreement to create the avatar.

If you’re creating an avatar for someone else, that person must record their own consent video. They don’t need to be physically with you- they can scan a QR code and submit their video directly from their phone, wherever they are. The consent video, however, must be recorded and submitted at the same time as the avatar footage.

Only Enterprise users are able to upload their consent statement as a video file. All other users must record live consent video using the options below (Webcam or Mobile QR code).

Ways to Submit Your Consent Video

You can submit your consent video in several ways:

  1. Laptop Webcam

    • Record live using your laptop’s built-in or external webcam.

  2. Smartphone

    • Record live using your phone’s camera by scanning a QR code or sending it to someone who you're creating the avatar for.

Note: File upload /Google Drive submissions are available for Enterprise tier only.

Consent Video Requirements

  • Use the provided consent text (read it exactly as written).

  • Keep the video under 30 seconds.

  • Record in clear lighting and sound for the best results.

Common Consent Issues to Avoid

  • Different Person

    • The person in the consent video must be the same person featured in the avatar footage.

  • Screen Recordings

    • Do not submit a recording of a screen playing the consent statement.

  • Poor Quality

    • Videos that are too dark, blurry, or with unclear audio will not be accepted.

  • Reading a Code

    • If your consent text includes a code, read it loud and clear to avoid processing errors.
